MATLAB Developer - Text Mining / NLP (22942)

This established and successful software development team creates plugins and tools for use in scientific R&D environments worldwide. They are starting to gain widespread recognition for their expertise in text mining, contextual analysis and natural language processing (NLP) tools, and seek to grow their team to pursue exciting new projects and commercial avenues. They’re looking for a handful of developers who are experienced in delivering clean and robust code to create flexible and intuitive text analysis functions.

Working with some of the smartest developers in this field, you’ll need to show:

• extensive evidence of commercial-quality MATLAB function development;
• thorough understanding of text analytics and NLP frameworks;
• knowledge of machine-learning techniques, such as n-grams, word embedding, hidden Markov models, feature extraction or POS-tagging

You’ll also have an excellent academic background (minimum 2.1 from a top university and preferably a PhD in a relevant field) and familiarity with existing NLP toolkits. Any further experience with OO languages (C, C++, Java) or scripting / stats tools (Python, R) will be highly valued.
