Sensor Technologist - Physics, Sustainability (23156)
A top technology company with a pedigree in sustainable technology are seeking a sensor technologist to help design and develop their next generation products. Sustainability is a key focus of the role which will also test your analytical and engineering skills and offer opportunities to see the world.
You will need:
- Excellent academic record (1st class or 2.1 degree in physics, maths, computer science or engineering)
- Demonstrable grasp of the physics of sensors and measurement techniques
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Strong mathematical analysis skills
- Ability to work to deadlines and communicate effectively with clients and colleagues
- Algorithm development and mathematical modelling from first principles
The following are desirable:
- Experienced with Python / Embedded C / MATLAB / LabVIEW
- Background in digital electronics / signal processing / DSP
- Experience of technology development / prototyping
- Experience of design for manufacture (DfM)
- Product approval testing
- Design of electromagnetic actuators and sensors
