Senior Mechanical Engineering Consultant (23321)

Are you a skilled mechanical engineer looking for varied, rewarding work on diverse projects? This established consultancy work with a global portfolio of clients to solve highly technical challenges. Join them and work on medical devices, instrumentation, consumer products, green/energy technologies, electro-mechanical systems and a host of others.

Some projects may be feasibility / analytical studies or design; others problem-solving the toughest challenges in integrated systems; others “green field” development in exciting new areas.

You will have:

• A 1st or 2:1 in mechanical engineering from one of the world’s top universities, and straight As at A-level including mathematics and a physical science
• Expertise with 3D CAD (SolidWorks), FEA, product and system design
• Played a key part in several commercial projects from concept through to prototyping, manufacture and delivery
• Excellent communication skills, and the desire to collaborate closely with clients

In addition, you will have experience of many of the following: tolerance analysis for mass production, DFMA, integration with electronics, MEMS, plastic moulding part design, tool design, risk management, quality control, and relevant US and EU regulatory concerns.

This is a full time role near Cambridge, UK, and requires existing permission to live and work in the UK without time limit, restriction or sponsorship.
