Applied Scientists: Medical Devices Development (23330)
This pioneering Cambridgeshire company develops novel technical solutions and provides extensive R&D expertise to well-known clients worldwide. Their products have benefitted countless lives worldwide, through innovations in hazardous materials identification and handling, rugged low-cost medical diagnostic tools used throughout the developing world or improved drug delivery devices which ease the lives of those with chronic conditions or impairments.
Their state-of-the-art facilities in South Cambridgeshire house a team of bright and innovative scientists and engineers, and they’re looking for a number of enthusiastic and accomplished professionals to join their highly-regarded team.
Successful candidates will be working on developing the latest generation of medical devices in a broad range of fields. Your work may see you contribute to novel biosensors and diagnostic tools; orthopaedic implants, supports or exoskeletons; biomaterials and synthetic tissue; or even the latest regenerative medicine R&D.
Candidate CVs will need to clearly show:
- a strong academic background in life sciences or (bio)engineering (2.1 or above from a top-uni), with a strong theoretical understanding of fundamental scientific principles;
- commercial experience in hands-on product development of relevant devices or technologies (isolated academic research is unlikely to be enough here);
- details of the products / techniques you have developed and applied yourself (again, familiarity only with ‘standard’ lab tools and techniques won’t get you far);
- interest and experience in at least one of the fields listed above – both breadth of experience and depth of knowledge will be relevant.
On offer for those exceptional candidates that will meet the mark is a top salary and remuneration package with plenty of perks and benefits too. This is an opportunity to work with like-minded people in dedicated and modern R&D facilities with the newest prototyping, testing and analysis infrastructure already well-established.
