Process Engineer (MEMS) (23359)
A Process Engineer is wanted by our client to support and deliver novel micro-devices / MEMS. This is based in purpose built micro fab-lab / cleanroom used to develop and scale solutions for volume manufacture.
Our client develops leading MEMS technology – intersecting fluidics, sensing, printing, optics and electronics. As a Process Engineer, a key aspect will be microfabrication of these solutions so experience of design, mask making, material choice, process development, fabrication, packaging and testing is expected.
Requirements:
- HND or Degree qualified in a relevant area (physics, materials or electronics).
- Process knowledge within a cleanroom in areas including photolithography, wet / dry etching, metal evaporation / sputtering, electroplating, wafer dicing and chip testing.
- Broad industry experience working with glass, silicon, polymers and / or ceramics.
Processes will involve the use of strong acids / alkalis and other volatile chemicals so a thorough understanding of health and safety aspects is required. Knowledge of standard manufacturing methods would be highly desirable (RCA, FMA, VRK, Pareto, Poke-Yoke and Run charts).
