Head of IT Systems and Services (24215)

An effective and hands-on IT systems and services manager is sought by this specialist software company. Leading a team of a half dozen systems and services staff, you will plan and implement the internal IT systems needed to support the company’s efforts.

The company is a medium sized and growing software business, long established, with a substantial and active development team and a number of other technical groups. Hence IT systems whilst internal are substantial, and strategy and execution are significant components of the role.

Your responsibilities will include managing people, projects and technology, mentoring and career development for your staff, and taking ultimate responsibility for tasks assigned to the team. You will also manage budget, develop IT strategy and policies, and ensure adequate redundancies and failover are in place for critical systems.

Your CV will show your:

• Degree in a technical or scientific subject from a reputable university
• Experience in comparable positions of responsibility with tech companies
• Project management, line management and problem solving ability
• Experience with IT systems architecture and deployment, day to day systems management, cloud and hosted solutions support, networking and security, and office and CRM systems deployment – all to sufficient scale
