Senior User Interface Software Engineer (24557)
A great opportunity for a UI designer / developer at a Cambridge based designer and manufacturer of connectivity hardware.
Due to rapidly increasing customer demand for their versatile and reliable IP-based hardware solutions, our client seeks an energetic, imaginative and practical software engineer to architect and develop software at the user interface end of their control systems.
You will have previous experience of designing and implementing UIs; will be happy working in close co-operation with a team of software developers and marketing professionals. An excellent understanding of human interaction with software will also be necessary, in order to create elements that a user can easily understand.
Essential knowledge and experience:
- Experience of designing and implementing user interfaces for complex systems
- Excellent knowledge of HTML,CSS and JavaScript, as well as good working knowledge of Linux
- Experience of Web technologies and RESTful API development
- The ability to blueprint and storyboard an interface
- The ability to understand complex problems and produce well designed and well documented testable code
Other desirable attributes include:
- Experience of Scrum and Agile
- Good understanding and experience of IP networks and network multimedia
