Graduate Engineer (Physics / Mechatronics) (24666)
Due to company growth, this scientific instrumentation company is looking to recruit a Graduate to join their multidisciplinary team. As an Engineer, you will build on your interest in laboratory instrumentation hardware development, and assist on all areas, gaining experience in construction and testing. This is a hands-on role, and would suit someone keen to apply previous theoretical knowledge and relevant project experience in new product development areas.
Requirements:
- Degree in electronics, mechanics, experimental physics or mechatronics.
- Solid understanding of electro-mechanical systems theory (including control systems, microcontrollers, actuators).
- Hands-on project experience (ideally through industry projects (internship), although academic / hobby projects of suitable complexity will be considered) of hardware electronics and mechanical systems.
- Exposure to design, build, test and troubleshooting products based on technical specifications.
Interested candidates should have a good eye for detail, an appreciation of quality standards, the ability to plan workloads, able to work well within a team, and good time management. An enthusiasm for technology and innate curiosity to problem-solve would be highly positive. Any experience using SolidWorks, PCB design software, test jigs would be desirable.
The company are keen to fill this role for a December 2018 start although are open to applicants available in early 2019. Preference is for candidates in the UK, and are available to interview (including attending onsite interviews) at relatively short notice.
