UNIX Systems Developer (24775)

Are you keen to work with senior developers, taking guidance from them and gaining significant knowledge and experience of financial services and business platforms? Our client is looking for a Systems Developer to join their Development team to work on database design and associated programming tasks. Responsibilities will include: development, test and maintenance; support on technical issues; and produce systems design models (with assistance of Senior Systems Architect / Engineers).

Requirements:

• Degree qualified in computer science, maths, physics or engineering.
• Some coding experience ideally in C or Python. Experience with Perl would be considered.
• Some experience using SQL, and broader knowledge of databases (including Oracle) would be desirable.
• Demonstrable experience as a self-starter – likely to have internship experience or worked in parallel during their studies.

This role is an ideal entry level position for someone who’s interested in technology, and is keen to use their good communication skills within a business applied technical role. In return an excellent remuneration package is available.
