Graduate Electronics / Software Engineer (24896)
This successful Cambridge company is experiencing growing sales for their ground-breaking technology in the medical devices area. As a result, they are looking for a bright and enthusiastic engineering graduate (preferably with a high electronics or embedded software component) to join the team contributing to customer satisfaction. This role demands a wide variety of skills, and will be a great opportunity to develop and extend your skills in electronics, embedded software and control systems design.
The product is a complex and highly innovative real-time control system. As part of a cohesive team of engineers, you will be the first point of contact for customers as they plan the deployment of each system. You will also support customers’ ongoing technical development and support requests and will use your strong problem-solving skills to either find the root cause of problems or evolve product improvements.
This role will involve a high degree of liaison with external customers as well as internal teams in development and manufacturing. As such, you must demonstrate your ability to be a calm and assured communicator with a diplomatic manner.

Your technical background and personal qualities should include:-
- A degree in engineering, physics or similar (ideally with modules in electronics and embedded software).
- Strong problem solving skills with the ability to step back and view the complete system with its potential mix of electronics, software, mechanical and control issues.
- The flexibility and enthusiasm to address problems outside your own area of knowledge and work in collaboration to solve technical challenges.
- Confidence in providing high quality responses to customers using a logical and systematic approach whilst maintaining professionalism and diplomacy.
This important role will provide a superb overview of the challenges and rigour of a complex development and manufacturing environment. In the longer term, there will be opportunities to develop your career along your particular area of interest.
There will be some travel to customers’ sites; this may include international travel. You must also have a driving licence and the existing right to work in the UK.
