Backend Data Engineer (25060)

Software has the ability to game change and this start-up has found a profitable market to gain early adoption for their technology platform and unite dispersed users. The founders have domain expertise in clinical data including genomics and are keen to apply this in a Cloud platform to enable users to gain key information to automate and optimise drug discovery and healthcare application developments.

They have the nascent technology, and are keen to expand their team to capitalise on their market position. They are looking for an experience Software Developer / Data Scientist to join as their Data Engineer and in this role would build the core backend technology that enables data to be easily accessible whilst maintaining key security throughout the pipelines.

Requirements:

• Degree qualified in computer science, physics, maths or life sciences AND commercial experience in software development around large databases.
• Experience with Cloud AWS development and deployment. Must have experience with Cloud security.
• Exposure to clinical data is highly desirable. Must have demonstrable experience handling unique demarcation of data.
• Experience working with data for visualisation would be beneficial.

As this is a dynamic, young company, they are keen to recruit and are building their core team. They are therefore keen on people who are immediately available or are available with short notice.
