Technical Business Development (25102)

This is a great opportunity to transition to a technically demanding business development role from a hands-on engineering background. If you have commercial technical experience, particularly in the areas of artificial intelligence, machine learning and computer vision, this talented technical team are interested in your ability to build relationships with external clients and develop bids and proposals for innovative and exciting projects.

Our client is a technical consultancy, working on a range of bleeding-edge challenges, making genuine contributions in the field of public safety and combatting serious crime. They develop complex systems which call for truly novel approaches to algorithm design and software implementation.

Your role in the business will be to work with a range of high profile clients, building a relationship based on technical excellence; the successful business development manager will demonstrate the following in their profile:-

• A degree in a STEM subject from a well-ranked university.
• Experience in a commercial technical role, preferably with a strong mathematical / software component such as machine learning, computer vision, data science or similar.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral; a key part of the role is to write project proposals and bids.
• Previous experience of working on Government or defence / security projects is of particular interest.

There will be a moderate amount of travel to attend client meetings and important business events.

UK security clearance is required for this role.
