Optics Physicist (25209)

A top Cambridge company providing innovative science and engineering solutions is seeking an Optics Physicist to work with specialist colleagues on the creation of custom optical systems. The projects cover a wide range of applications, and the optical systems will evolve into tangible manufactured products.

The essential requirements for this role are:

• A PhD or Master’s degree in Physics or Engineering from a well-ranked university, ideally with significant optics content
• At least two years of experience working at the cutting edge of development in photonics or laser optics – this could be in an industrial or academic setting
• Experience with modelling complex optical systems using Zemax (or similar)
• The ability to work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team and come up with innovative solutions to complex questions
