Quant Researcher (25306)
Co-founded by finance experts and a leading mathematician, this London based team is the research arm for a hedgefund utilising proprietary machine learning / AI and cryptography techniques. They are looking to grow their research team and seek highly capable, self-driven PhD level researchers to join them.
Requirements:
- Top academic pedigree – you will have a long list of academic accomplishments from school to university (possibly being nationally recognised). You will have a highly numerate 1st Class degree (in Mathematics, Theoretical Physics or similar) from a top university AND a PhD on a relevant quantitative area.
- Research expertise – you will have extensive experience in generating original thoughts for problems in machine learning, AI, cryptography, operational research or theoretical graph techniques; including collaborative projects with prominent research groups, presenting relevant work at conferences and high impacting publications.
- Technical competence – you will have experience with Python utilising mathematical, statistical and / or machine learning libraries. You will have used Python to implement and develop algorithms, exploring and testing new hypotheses and have built mathematical models. Any additional experience with MATLAB or C++ would be desirable.
This opportunity if open to recently graduated PhDs or those waiting for their viva having submitted their thesis. Similarly, postdocs or PhDs in relevant industry positions are welcome to apply.
