Senior Process Development Engineer - Medical (25362)
This is an opportunity for an ambitious, highly motivated and experienced manufacturing engineer to lead a team carrying out essential analysis of the manufacture of medical instrumentation.
Reporting to the head of manufacturing for this growing and vibrant company, you will take responsibility for the validation of new processes, including automation and fixture development. You will also be responsible for daily process analysis, enabling continued improvement and ensuring confidence in the quality of the products. Ideally, you will have already worked in an area requiring a regulatory framework and you will be used to inspiring and motivating teams to consistently achieve the very best results. Possessing excellent communications skills at all seniority levels, you will also appreciate the importance of mentoring junior team members.
The skills and experience necessary to succeed in this position include:
- An excellent degree in a technical subject (2.1 or above) and a solid understanding of a wide range of disciplines that would support systems engineering, such as mechanics, electronics and software
- Good experience developing LEAN manufacturing processes and risk assessment processes such as PFMEA, ideally in a medical device setting.
- A track record of delivering success in a high-tech, high quality environment for a complex mechatronic system and the ability to plan and manage multiple priorities whilst introducing the latest and most relevant manufacturing processes to minimise down time.
- Ideally, you would also have experience of MATLAB or Python for analysis and an appreciation of software analysis tools in a modern manufacturing environment.
Full permission to live and work in the UK without time limit, restriction or sponsorship will also be required.
