Scientific Software Team Lead / Manager (25400)
This wide-ranging team role is open to talented technical leads with line management experience. Working on scientific software used by major companies and rocket scientists, with applications from space exploration to autonomous vehicles. A friendly company with university roots, in the heart of Cambridge, using the latest tools and technologies, and practising pragmatic Agile methods.
Your CV will show your:
- Current hands-on development experience in C# and the .NET Framework
- The mindset for leadership: you'll have run projects in the past, line managed, and you know how to build consensus and when to make the final call
- The ability to “keep it simple”, but equally, a good sense for what level of complexity is required for a technically sufficient solution
- Good development skills, including a positive view of refactoring and keeping a codebase current
- Awareness of the needs of the customer and usability concerns
Additional prerequisites include experience coding in other languages, a good understanding of handling high volumes of data, esp. database systems and their performance, and a good degree in a technical subject from a recognised university, with strong A-level grades.
