Designing high speed hack-proof electronics

Wanted: a Senior Hardware Engineer with exceptional high speed digital design skills and a broad hardware development background. You would be joining a world-class development team as well as domain experts in data security to produce un-hackable products, robust enough to form the basis of applications such as secure data storage or financial services. This would also be in a great place to build your skills, moving your career forward with a company that puts an emphasis on employee development and Agile working practices.

The Senior Hardware Engineer would be involved in all stages of development: working in collaboration with product managers and engineers to define product roadmaps, design, evaluate and demonstrate prototypes, and ultimately bring new hardware to market.

The Senior Hardware Engineer would be a key player in the team, planning tasks and scheduling, promoting best practice and continuous improvement, and mentoring junior members of staff.

Required skills and Experience

  • A 1st or 2:1 degree in Electronic Engineering or closely related subject from a well-ranked university
  • Broad experience in developing high performance embedded systems using technologies such as 32 or 64 bit processors, DSPs, FPGAs, and high speed memory devices.
  • Proficiency in ECAD systems (such as Altium).
  • A good understanding of areas such as regulatory standards, EMC compliance, and design-for-manufacture

Based in ultra-modern and spacious offices conveniently close to the centre of Cambridge, the role attracts a competitive salary and benefits package including a substantial bonus scheme.
