Lab Scientist (25500)
Our client develops life science technologies used by laboratories and health facilities globally. To support their world-leading innovation and development, this client runs a suite of biochemistry laboratories. The client now seeks an enthusiastic laboratory scientist to take responsibility for the smooth running of the labs, ensuring colleagues have an ordered and efficient environment for working.
The laboratory scientist will also contribute to novel project work; running molecular tests, making reagents and maintaining cell cultures (mammalian and bacterial). Alongside the day-to-day running, the laboratory scientist will also ensure that risk assessments and appropriate COSHH are in place so that project work can proceed in a safe and efficient manner.
The successful laboratory scientist will be able to demonstrate most of the following:
- Degree in Biochemistry (or closely related discipline)
- Significant hand-on technical experience in laboratory techniques
- Working with standard instrumentation and development systems
- Experience with different assay technologies
- Working co-operatively and reliably in a technically-challenging multi-disciplinary group
- Some knowledge of ISO13485 standards
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic hands-on bio-scientist to be involved in the development and validation of novel world class products.
