Senior REACH Consultant (25641)

Covering a range of diverse areas including: plant protection products, biocides, industrial and speciality chemicals, as well as cosmetics, our client’s scientists have expertise in chemistry, human health, microbiology and environmental science. They are a respected consultancy, delivering regulatory and strategic advice on REACH requirements to their broad customer base.

They are seeking an experienced and committed individual, with wide scientific knowledge and a detailed understanding of European and UK REACH regulatory requirements, to lead a multi-disciplinary team of scientists, regulatory and registration specialists.

Good communication skills are an absolute must in this position. You will be able to acquire and understand large amounts of data and information easily, including the evolving REACH regulatory framework, legal instruments and guidance. You will quickly and effectively communicate it and its implications to your colleagues and clients using face-to-face meetings, discussion groups, presentations or written communications as necessary.

A part of this role will involve business development, as you will be supporting the Sales and Marketing departments and may have to travel in the UK and abroad to attend conferences and client meetings.

You will be expected to have the following skills and experience for this role:

• A good degree in a relevant scientific discipline plus a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a relevant regulatory, scientific or research environment involving REACH compliance
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• The ability to plan workload effectively and react appropriately to situations as they arise
• The ability to work well under pressure both independently and as part of the team

You must also already have full right to work in the UK, without time limit or sponsorship
