Contract Software Engineer - Embedded (25699)

This will be an initial contract of 3 months and there may be potential to renew.

As an experienced embedded software developer, you will have a broad knowledge of programming in C for small hand-held devices. The client works on a variety of projects within the consumer, medical and manufacturing markets; knowledge of safety-critical or regulated device development will be of particular interest.

You must display a strong academic background, with a good degree in electronic engineering, software engineering or similar from a well-ranked world-class university.
Your CV will demonstrate the following:-

• Clear evidence of developing real-time software for embedded control systems in C or C++
• Experience writing embedded software in a commercial and regulated environment
• Good understanding of electronics, understanding how software interfaces with the hardware
• Experience in, or an interest in, mobile platforms, specifically Android

Based just off the A14, the company has excellent transport links around Cambridge, and works in modern offices in a friendly environment.
