Software Engineer - Firmware (25721)
This tech start-up has already commercialised its first product, and is looking to spread its solutions across multiple industry sectors. Their first-to-market technology is based on proprietary innovations combining hardware with AI and ultra-low-power IoT to develop targeted monitoring sensors.
With financial backing already secured, they aim to grow the company and capitalise on the work they have done to meet their ambitious product roadmap and expand into new sectors. They currently seek a bright Software Engineer who enjoys tackling technology problems and enjoys the challenge of working outside their comfort zone. They will work closely with the Software Lead to design and develop firmware for their devices, and look to integrate these with other technology platforms.
Requirements:
- 1st / 2.1 bachelor’s degree in electronics, engineering, or computer science (other relevant disciplines will be considered) from a top ranked university. Ideally internship experience during university as a software engineer.
- Commercial industry experience with embedded technologies – working on firmware development. Additionally, must be capable of programming in C++.
- Must have experience with electronics, and ideally bare-metal, single core processors.
- Additional exposure to any of the following would be highly desirable: Machine Vision, Python, PCBs, LoRaWAN, TDD.
This is a lean, fast-paced environment where software developers mingle with mechanical and electronic engineers and scientists. The team work collaboratively, coming up with methodical approaches for innovation. In return, as well as working with like-minded people on challenging projects, an excellent remuneration package is on offer including share options.
