Software Engineer (25843)
This is a great opportunity to join a team of highly skilled engineers at an exciting time as they ramp up from early protypes to a market-ready high-tech product. Combining embedded software technology with cutting-edge signal processing this technology has potential for applications such as security and a range of marine industries including renewables.
This is very much a coding role requiring a combination of academic excellence in computer science, electronics, or a numerical STEM subject combined with significant existing coding skills. This is a small team with ambitious goals, so the successful candidate will need to be conversant with the fundamentals of software engineering such as common version control tools and bug tracking.
You will need:
- A good degree in a STEM subject from a well-respected university and a PhD in a relevant subject
- Substantial coding experience in C or C++, preferably for embedded applications – this can be from either academic or commercial work.
- C# and web development skills (JavaScript, HTML, and CSS) are valuable but not essential
- Full existing right to work in the UK without restriction, time limit, or sponsorship
Naturally, an interest in signal processing techniques or acoustics would be welcome, but these are skills that can be picked up on the job providing you have the necessary academic aptitude and software skills.
The company is based in spacious modern offices with excellent transport links, and a competitive remunerations package is on offer.
