Senior Software Engineer (25941)

The core skills in this position are embedded C and C++ programming preferably for both Linux and Windows environments. This Cambridge based start-up is developing a leading-edge sensor for high resolution graphics applications. They are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to develop the system to prove the superiority of this new sensor.

You will need to have a good degree along with some commercial experience of the following:

• C++ programming on Linux and Windows platforms
• Exposure to QT5
• All aspects of design and the full development life cycle
• Some understanding of embedded C techniques

Development of device drivers and working within the Linux kernel would be a bonus.

At times the graphics and sensor are run on Android based products hence there may be an opportunity to venture into Android app development.

In addition to your technical excellence, you will need good communication skills, to show initiative, make decisions, and operate in a team. This is a great opportunity to join a start-up based in Cambridge, with the benefit of share options along with a good salary. The team are working from home at present but plan to return to the Cambridge office in the medium term.
