Graduate Software Test Engineer (25993)
Essentially you will have a proven track record of a strong interest in audio technology. This role involves hands on creation and testing of audio recordings as well as software QA test.
You will be working alongside talented and bright software engineers; to be able to hold your own it is expected you will have a technical degree. It is likely at some point you will have played with a Raspberry Pi which will come in very useful in this position. You will have a desire to learn to programme and may have already created some Python software.
While much of your time can be spent working from home (at present) you will need to be close enough to Cambridge to be able to get into the office to exchange hardware or resolve an issue on the bench.
In this role you will learn about the following:
- How to configure Linux for Debian platforms
- A broad understanding of test philosophy, especially automated test
- Software development approach under Continuous Integration and Deployment
- Professional level programming in Python
Above all you need to have a proven passion in audio and knowledge of recording equipment. This may be from a hobby project, but you will need to be able to convince them of your skills in this area.
