JavaScript Developer (26031)

This role is with a Cambridge start-up, commercially successful, and actively growing their development team. They are seeking an enthusiastic JavaScript Developer to help create the user interface for their software which controls high performance connectivity hardware.

As a JavaScript Developer, you would create new features and capabilities and help the company open up new market opportunities.

The successful candidate will be someone for whom software engineering is a passion as well as a career, and who enjoys the challenge of creating well-designed web applications based around JavaScript. A solid understanding of the JavaScript language will be essential.

Key skills:

• Good aptitude with JavaScript and JSON demonstrated by example code. Either an impressive hobby project or substantial open-source software contributions. This should be accessible via GitHub or similar platform (or even zip file, tar archive etc.)
• A broad understanding of computer networking technologies
• A good degree in a STEM subject from a well-known university
• Full right to work in the UK without restriction, time limit, or sponsorship

The following skills are not essential but would be beneficial:

• TypeScript, React, C# or Java
• Understanding of software engineering best practice
