Software Consultant, C++ (26123)
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled software developer to use their problem-solving skills to guide the development of the client’s gold-standard software platform, used by electronics designers the world over. This is a specialist role for someone with excellent practical experience of software development who will work with internal and external clients to understand new requirements and how they will be introduced by the software team. It’s crucial that you will be an excellent communicator, able to interface between teams in development, marketing, sales and support as well as external customers. Part of the role may involve producing demo products and presenting these to customers.
Requirements:
- Good degree (2.1 or higher) in a relevant STEM subject
- Excellent C++ programming skills; this isn’t a developer role but you will need to understand the code
- Confident communication skills including presentations to internal and external customers
- Data management skills and algorithm development
- Linux development
- Full permission to live and work in the UK without time limit, restriction or sponsorship.
Any additional experience with electronic design tools would also be of particular interest.
While the team are currently working remotely, this role will be returning to the central Edinburgh office location in the longer term.
