Applied Organic Chemist (26163)
As part of expansion plans of the core technical team, our client seeks an Applied Organic Chemist to join them. Projects they would be involved with include scientific design and development of their optofluidic chips, emulsion properties of organics and experimental performance validation. This work would be in close collaboration with in-house biologists and external research partners.
Requirements:
- 1st or 2.1 in chemistry, biochemistry or similar, followed by a PhD working on liquid-liquid interfaces.
- Demonstrable experience with liquid based properties including emulsions and surfactants.
- Understanding of lipid monolayers and bilayers as well as how ions interface with membranes.
Projects will be challenging and suit those who enjoy technical / scientific problem solving. Excellent communications skills are expected including presentations and report writing.
