Mechanical Systems Engineer (26167)

A hands-on Mechanical Engineer is sought to join this scientific engineering company as they look to develop and further enhance their applied instrumentation platform. Key responsibilities will include working with mechatronic components including: optical assemblies and testing; developing new prototypes; devising system tests; and system integrations. The role would work closely with internal teams within the company as well as external partners including manufacturing.

Requirements

• 1st / 2.1 degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics or similar.
• Demonstrable experience in opto-mechanical design (such as in imaging optics) and mechatronics (ideally in precision motion control).
• Experience with CAD packages (ideally SolidWorks).
• Strong communication skills, including documentation, presentations and problem-solving within multidisciplinary teams.
