Technical Consultant - Molecular Biology (26183)
A rapidly growing company supplying state of the art analysis equipment to molecular biology research groups and companies seek a Technical Consultant who will have the skills to advise and assist their clients.
The Technical Consultant will support the Sales and Marketing teams by managing and running feasibility studies for clients, testing products prior to launch, assisting with demonstrations at conferences and being a part of the process of creating application notes, data sheets and PR materials. They will also play a crucial role during installation at clients’ sites as well as acting as an expert point of contact for clients and the Sales team alike.
Normally, this role would involve travelling to clients’ sites in the US, Europe and Asia. Although most of that work has been completed online recently, it is expected that travel will be an important aspect of this role again in the future.
Skills and attributes for this role:
- A good undergraduate degree (2:1 or above) combined with commercial molecular biology research experience or a PhD in Molecular Biology
- Previous research projects involving RNA or mRNA would be ideal, particularly knowledge of qPCR or RT-PCR used in the R&D and process sectors
- Ability and willingness to travel as (in normal circumstances) frequent international travel would be expected
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, as well as good organisational skills, and the ability to multi-task, combined with excellent attention to detail
Full right to work in the UK without time limit or sponsorship will also be needed for this position.
