Technical Field Service Engineer (26225)
A Life Science Company is looking to recruit an experienced Technical Field Service Engineer to join their team. The role will be responsible to provide field service support and customer relationship management for lab-based research platforms and systems that this company develops. This will include installation, repairs, preventative maintenance, and instrument qualifications.
Interested candidates should be customer-oriented, and comfortable in a scientific lab environment. You will be based at their HQ in Cambridge but will travel 25-50% of the time around the UK or abroad. There are some expectations to provide customer support remotely as well.
Requirements:
- HND or Degree qualified in an engineering or science discipline.
- Hands-on experience as a Service Engineer ideally working with lab instrumentation.
- Some working knowledge and experience with electronics and control systems and ideally exposure to optics, fluidics, or pneumatics.
- Able to read and understand technical procedures including wiring schematics and engineering drawings.
Good communication skills are necessary (both written and oral), and must be fluent in English. Further, candidates must hold a full international driving licence and valid passport. They must be able to pass extensive reference checks to access customer sites when needed.
