Senior Software Engineer - ML Development (26262)
Join this Cambridge-based team developing AI-powered sensory capabilities for use in a plethora of consumer and security applications.
In this role, your expertise in software engineering would be put to good use building the ML tools and data pipelines necessary to support the development of efficient machine learning algorithms. You would be collaborating with machine learning researchers to increase the capabilities and processing power of the system, ultimately enabling new features for the end user.
This is a broad role in terms of technologies, with opportunities to get involves across the technology stack from highly optimised C running behind the scenes in Python Machine Learning libraries to building data management systems in AWS, and always with an eye on the latest technologies and how they can be leveraged to enhance the product.
Requirements:
- A 1st or 2.1 degree in an applicable STEM subject from a leading university.
- Demonstrably strong software engineering knowledge and proven ability to contribute substantially to software projects.
- Excellent coding skills, ideally in Python, including common scientific libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, or matplotlib – comparable languages would also be considered.
- Full existing right to work in the UK without restriction, time limit, or sponsorship.
Knowledge of at least some of the flowing would be advantageous: SQL and NoSQL databases, infrastructure/DevOps tools, AWS, JavaScript, familiarity with machine learning concepts and tools such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
