Computational Acoustics Modeller (26336)
Whether you are a recent Master's or PhD graduate or more experienced engineer / maths modeller, our client is looking for expertise and engineering knowledge in mathematical acoustics. As a Computational Acoustics Modeller, you will be joining a technically diverse applied maths team providing specialised acoustics understanding. You'll use these skills and expertise to provide consultancy-style services to academic and industrial clients which could be prototyping, proof-of-principle work, demonstrations and / or workshops.
Requirements:
- 1st / 2.1 in applied maths or physics including a Master's or PhD in a relevant subject area.
- Demonstrable technical project experience in acoustics which could include non-linear acoustics, work with loudspeakers, microphones or piezoelectric devices (relating to acoustic technology).
- Ideally experience in mathematical modelling using mainstream computational software tools.
- Good communication skills - both written and oral.
Applicants must have unrestricted rights to work in the UK - no company sponsorship is available.
This is an excellent opportunity to either start your career in industry (having completed a Master's, PhD or Postdoc) or redirect your current acoustics-based engineering career within a more client-facing position.
On offer is a competitive salary, a supportive company culture and benefits. Training on relevant computational modelling is available if required. Hybrid working is possible, and onsite parking is available at their Cambridge offices.
