Cell and Molecular Biology Scientist (26349)
This Cambridge Life Sciences company is looking for a Cell and Molecular Biology Scientist to join their team. Projects will mostly centre around cell biology including work with immune cells and engineered cells. The overall application areas are within single cell characterisation technologies. Key responsibilities would include: planning and performing experiments; contribution to the company's knowledge-base; creating and filing intellectual property; developing new methodologies; and building up the company's R&D portfolio. Further, as part of role, participation at conferences and possibly publications (patents or papers) would be expected.
Requirements:
- 1st / 2.1 in Biochemistry, Biology or similar, followed by a PhD in life sciences. Exposure to industry (through post-doctorate work or internship) would be desirable.
- Demonstrable experience with projects in immunology or immuno-oncology (either for your PhD / postdoc or similar).
- Strong technical understanding of cell and gene therapy; genome editing; synthetic biology; or biotherapeutics development.
- Exposure to flow cytometry / single cell analysis methods. Further experience with microfluidics automation or high-through cell screening would be beneficial.
Projects are within teams but you would be expected to work independently and contribute to the overall aims. Therefore, good communication skills are required (both written and oral).
