Senior Software Engineer (26399)

This role is with a market leading media technology company. You will be part of a team building the software which configures and controls hardware media players, as well as contributing to their cloud services.

You will be responsible for the design and development of APIs to interact with internal and external services as well as the development and maintenance of JavaScript code to run on specialist devices. You can expect to work in a collaborative, agile environment, with an international team, looking to satisfy customers on a variety of challenging projects.

Requirements:

• Degree in a relevant discipline or extensive experience in industry
• Excellent knowledge of Node.js development using JavaScript ES6+ (ideally including Express)
• Good understanding of RESTful design principles, WebSockets, authentication (e.g. OAuth) and caching (e.g. Redis)
• Demonstrable skill writing robust and testable JavaScript code
