Semiconductor Device Technician (26436)
This Cambridge based tech company develop innovative MEMS devices used in scientific applications. They are growing their technical team and seek a Hardware Technician to join them either on a full time or part-time basis. Key responsibilities include device assembly and process optimisation - this would require hands-on work in a cleanroom, building device assembly jigs and prototyping tools, running validation and verification tests as well as relevant documentation.
Requirements:
- Demonstrable experience in microfabrication or MEMS assembly ideally under ISO9001 quality standards. It would be of interest if applicants have experience of device-assembly used in displays, solar panels or electronics packaging.
- Experience of photolithography, electronics assembly, layer deposition techniques, and semiconductor processing (whilst all techniques are relevant, it is not expected applicants must have experience of all of these).
- Experience of device inspection and quality checking.
Further experience of microfluidic MEMS devices, 2D CAD work for photomasks or commercial pilot production would be desirable. Applicants should have a relevant HND / degree in electronics, physics or similar, although relevant industry experience is more important.
