Human Factors Consultant (26461)
This HF team are a key part of this technical consultancy. They work closely with their engineering colleagues to develop a range of mechanical and electro-mechanical medical device products. Their expertise is highly sought after as they deliver high quality products that provide ease of use, robustness and solve problems.
As their next Human Factors Consultant, you will work on a variety of projects from concept development to validation. Your input will include working with users / patients, contributing to designs and developing relevant user studies. You’ll use your expertise to methodically approach research and use best practices to support the development of new medical devices. Note that international travel (UK, Europe and USA) would be required to attend studies (which can last up to 3 or 4 weeks).
Requirements:
- Relevant industry experience with human factors for medical devices. This should include understanding and documentation required within a regulatory environment.
- Demonstrable experience (either within a consultancy or a product company) with user studies and subsequent analysis, reports and presentations.
- Strong communication skills.
- Additional experience with project management would be desirable.
Projects are typically either at collaborators or at their Cambridgeshire offices, although occasional home working is possible when projects allow.
