Applied Consultant Scientist (26466)

Have you experience working on novel methodologies in molecular cell or genetics? Has your project work focused on new procedures and methods based on fundamental life science principles? Do you have experience working within a start-up or collaborating with a scientific instrumentation company?

We are looking for new Applied Consultant Scientists to join this prestigious team. You’ll work closely with other scientists and engineers to create and develop multidisciplinary solutions that tackle problems within drug discovery, diagnostics and clinical applications. Your experience will be as an enabler of new technologies with a strong emphasis on the development side of R&D. You’ll couple this with demonstrable evidence of thought leadership through conference presentations and / or publications on relevant topics.

Further, your CV should contain:

• Strong academic background (degree in biochemistry, biological sciences or similar followed by a relevant doctorate).
• Commercial industry experience in translational science used in instrumentation development for either molecular cell or gene technologies.
• Ability to lead projects within collaborative, multidisciplinary groups.
• Experience with relevant regulatory requirements.

Additional exposure to entrepreneurship, industry networking and keeping abreast of the latest innovations would be highly advantageous.

Note, this is not a research role. This position is very much an applied, hands-on consultancy role where your skills / experience in a lab will be coupled with overseeing projects, meeting clients and developing long term relationships.
