Senior IC Verification Engineer (26509)
For IC verification engineers looking to work on new products. Join a pioneering company, something of a household name in their field, developing custom digital ASIC designs based around ARM cores. These next generation ICs will drive a variety of novel devices and future innovations.
In this role you’ll personally take on verification planning and execution, to help meet ambitious targets for power, performance and footprint. You’ll work alongside engineers working on RTL design, package definition, silicon bring-up, production monitoring and management.
You will likely have a good technical degree and supporting A-level (or equivalent) grades, you will be UK resident and have unrestricted work permission. In addition you will bring:
- Digital IC verification skills, ideally for “PC” style setups, ARM cores and with high speed buses, pushing power and performance boundaries.
- Experience with all relevant aspects of the verification process, including test bench creation, creating and integrating verification components (UVM UVCs), ensuring functional coverage, and working with SystemVerilog Assertions (SVAs).
Overall your level of understanding of the design process will be equivalent to that achieved through several prior commercial tape-outs. Any additional experience with Cadence simulation tool flow, knowledge of IP protocols such as PCI-e and USB, bus architectures, scripting, and/or further design process involvement is welcome.
The successful candidate will join a motivated Cambridge team working on new designs, with a competitive package and a pleasant working environment. There may be some opportunities for flexible work patterns/locations given a regular presence in the Cambridge office.
