Software Engineer, 3D Maths, Geometry (26598)
For skilled software engineers with 3D maths or 3D graphics experience, and potentially a PhD prior to any commercial work. You’ll have strong software engineering experience, ideally in C or C++ but other languages such as Python and C# would be considered. You’ll have sufficient mathematical knowledge and the visual mindset to work with 3D, certainly including use of matrices for affine transformations, and 3D vector maths. An awareness of 3D polygon meshes (as used in CAD and video games) would be helpful. You may have additional knowledge of continuous boundary representations such as NURBS, though this is not required.
In addition to any commercial experience, you’ll also have a 1st or 2:1 from a good university (Russell Group or equivalent would be indicative) and may have a PhD. You’ll have great communication skills, and you’ll be analytically minded, receptive, and above all good at problem solving.
