Electronics Engineer (26638)

This is an opportunity to enhance your established career in electronics engineering and work in the defence sector without the usual constraints and red tape connected to security and defence related projects.

Our client makes fast progress on specialist projects by developing novel technology in areas such as: cyber security, high-speed digital electronic design, FPGA firmware, RF and microwave electronics, antennas, algorithm development, power electronics and PCB technologies.

They seek motivated Electronic Engineers with an excellent academic track record (a good technical degree, 2:1 or above plus As at A-level as a minimum) and proven capabilities in two or more of the subject areas mentioned above, as well as previous experience in the design and development of technology solutions for hardware. Due to the national defence and security related projects involved, only British citizens who are confident of achieving at least SC level security clearance will be considered.

Your day-to-day work will draw on your knowledge of fundamental principles of physics and engineering as well as your expertise in electronics, providing a varied, challenging and exciting working environment. Working in multidisciplinary teams of skilled engineers with a rapid approach to design and implementation, you may find yourself involved in computational modelling, prototype design, invention, laboratory testing, process development, or manufacturing. There will also be an element of client-facing work, so good communication skills will be essential.
