Senior Software Engineer, Financial Trading (26645)

An opportunity for a top flight senior to principal level career software engineer with particular expertise in high performance, ultra low latency C++ code. You’ll join a crack team of specialists pushing performance boundaries. At this level performance gains are measured in nanoseconds.

The UK team are based around Cambridge, with colleagues in the USA and elsewhere overseas. Scope for hybrid working options is anticipated, potentially up to 40%.

Your CV will show your C++ expertise to the level of a senior or principal engineer, and track record designing, developing and architecting high performance systems. Producing well factored and well tested code (with a full test suite) will be second nature. You’ll be accustomed to conducting code reviews and mentoring and advising less experienced developers. Full existing UK work permission is required; prior financial sector experience is not.

This role could suit a C++ developer coming from a variety of sectors, including game engine development, systems-level embedded software, high speed data network technology, HPC and HFT. If this location isn’t quite right for you, we may have similar opportunities in London.
