Mathematical Support Analyst (26674)

This growing company specialises in using powerful mathematical modelling to help clients solve intractable optimisation problems in logistics and energy trading. To help them support their growing customer base, they are now seeking a mathematical analyst to join their team.

You would develop a thorough understanding of the product, enabling you to verify that new calculations and user interface features are performing correctly, and that the software is correctly optimising solutions. You will share your expertise with peers and clients, creating documentation and training materials, and helping clients get the most from the available functionality. There is also scope to become more directly involves with clients’ own projects, or to progress into project management, or to help define the evolution of the product itself.

You will need:

• A strong academic background in a highly numerate discipline such as Maths, Physics, or similar from a well ranked university and mostly A* or A grades at A level or equivalent baccalaureate results.
• A good understanding of mathematical modelling, and ability to use complex models to test hypotheses.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to rapidly understand complex subject matter
