Software Engineer - Cyber Defence (26685)

This is an opportunity to put your skills in digital technology to use in a way that has positive real-world results. Our client specialises in cyber defence projects and their multi-disciplinary teams are enabled to rapidly progress their designs and inventions.

As a Software Engineer with proven skills in embedded software and good experience with developing system architecture, you will enjoy working on a variety of projects and being a part of the full product lifecycle. You could be involved in the development of new algorithms or adapting existing ones. You could be playing a key role in evolving applications for real time operating systems or working at the bare metal level. Either way, you will be happy prototyping, simulating and testing your work. Good knowledge of software-defined radio would be of particular interest.

You will need:

• An excellent degree (2.1 or above) in a relevant technical subject from a leading university
• Advanced skills in C and at least one other language such as C++, MATLAB or Python
• Good knowledge of embedded software and firmware, as well as experience developing applications for RTOS or bare metal
• Familiarity with interfacing to standard peripherals such as SPI, I2C and UART
• Good knowledge of software-defined radio (SDR)

This role is only open to British citizens due to the defence related nature of the work. Successful candidates will be required to obtain a high level of security clearance.
