Senior Software Engineer (26757)

This forward-thinking company prides itself on developing user-friendly tools for simplifying what used to be complex and frustrating DevOps processes. Their thoughtfully designed products quickly attracted an array of high profile organisations and top companies, and they have grown their business at an impressive rate as a result. To keep pace with demand they are seeking to recruit bright software engineers to join their development teams based either in Cambridge, Northern Ireland, or working remotely in the UK.

They have a flat and sociable company structure. Essentially everyone in the development team is an engineer, with small teams given substantial creative scope to create features to achieve specific company aims. There will also be the flexibility to get involved with all aspects of the company’s technology over time. You would have full involvement in the software development lifecycle from concept and requirements gathering through to helping users get started with the completed software. Their technology is built around a core of C#, with React, TypeScript, JavaScript, AWS, and Docker also used.

The team takes a pragmatic approach to Agile development, with ongoing continuous integration and release, and they don’t believe in pointless meetings and onerous processes.

You will need:

• A 1st or 2.1 degree in Computer Science or another applicable STEM subject from a well-respected university and strong pre-university exam grades.
• Strong software engineering experience, with excellent coding skills in C#, or closely related OO languages.
• Good communications and teamworking skills.
• An interest in leading projects or mentoring less experienced colleagues would be an advantage.
• Full existing permission to work in the UK without restriction, time limit, or sponsorship.
