Lead Application Support Engineer - EDA (26810)

This company has created a suite of software tools to aid product development in the electronics sector. They have build up a very substantial user base, and are now seeking a talented Application Support Engineer to help their customers get the best from their product.

In this role, you would help customers worldwide get up to speed with using the software, creating and presenting training materials, examples, and software utilities to assist them in developing electronics designs, particularly analogue designs based on FinFETs. This will be largely based at the company’s Edinburgh offices, but regular travel to customer sites will be expected to deliver training and help resolve any technical issues. You will also help the sales team with demos to highlight the software’s capabilities, and your feedback from this customer interaction will be a valuable input to the engineering team, and will help to shape future evolution of the tools.

You will need:

• A 1st or 2.1 degree in electronics or a related field from a well-respected university
• Experience in analogue electronics design and a good understanding of FinFET layout considerations
• Hands on experience using electronic design automation tools, and scripting skills with a language such as TCL, Perl or Lisp.
• Full existing right to work in the UK without restriction, time limit, or sponsorship
