This development team create industry-leading business intelligence solutions combining powerful features with ease of use. As the capabilities of their software increases, they aim to leverage developments in machine learning to ensure that it remains intuitive to use.
Their company culture emphasises creativity and ingenuity over bureaucracy and micromanagement, so you’ll be free here to focus on the engineering with the minimum of distractions. You will be joining a team of talented and enthusiastic engineers working on features across the technology stack on areas such as user interface, networking, database interactions, low level toolchain work, and AI-powered features. With time, you will have the opportunity to focus on technical areas that are of particular interest.
You will need:
- A 1st or 2.1 in Maths, Computer Science or a similarly applicable subject from a leading university supported with strong A-level (or equivalent) grades.
- Strong coding skills in a modern OO language (C++, C#, Java etc. are good, but an understanding of several languages is best). This could be demonstrated by suitable internships, very substantial personal coding projects, GitHub portfolios, open source contributions and so forth. Undergraduate coding exercises and modules are unlikely to suffice in isolation.
- A good understanding of machine learning principle is essential – course modules alone are unlikely to suffice. The preference is for Natural Language Processing or chatbot technologies, but any AI/ML experience will be considered.
- Full existing right to work in the UK without restriction, time limit, or sponsorship.
