Geospatial Analyst (26999)
A Geospatial Analyst is sought by a Cambridge company developing intricate simulations and models in order to help businesses find ways to assess their impact on the environment.
Playing a valued role in their modelling team, you would be responsible for supplying useful observations gleaned from an ever-growing database of geospatial information, which will be used to help quantify environmental risks for world leading companies. Your ability to source, organise and interpret datasets from a variety of sources will be particularly important, as will your ability to present your findings in an effective visual manner.

To join the team, you will need:
- At least a bachelor’s degree (2:1 or above) in Geography, Climate Science, Natural Sciences, Mathematics, Economics or similar subject from a top university, together with an interest in climate science and risk analysis.
- Skills in geospatial software packages such as, QGIS (ideal) or other similar packages
- Demonstrable skills in Python (preferred), or similar languages.
- Experience of gathering and analysing relevant data from multiple sources, along with the ability to effectively communicate your findings to non-specialists and experts in your field.
- Full rights to work in the UK without time limits or sponsorship.
Your application would be enhanced with some of the following:
- Good knowledge of topics such as physical risk science, economics and finance.
- Specific expertise in energy modelling, the circular economy or issues affecting agriculture.
