Our client, based in South Cambridgeshire seeks a creative, enthusiastic and disciplined software engineer to join their multi-skilled team working on a wide variety of challenging projects. Consistently positioned at the cutting-edge of technical innovation, the team have worked on topics such as neural networks for robotics, creating apps and instrumentation for the healthcare market, and evolving wireless technology.

You will be encouraged to take part in all aspects of software development from generating new concepts to designing solutions using your own, elegant algorithms. You could focus on embedded or cloud-based resources for the implementation of your code, depending on what would serve the product best. You will not be micro-managed, instead you will be able to develop your skills on projects that align with your interest and skills, with the backing of a friendly and supportive team.

This is a highly sought after opportunity and consequently, only the very best candidates will be considered for the position, starting in 2024. Significant research projects or commercial internships that have required extensive programming skills will help boost your application.

You will need:

• An academic history showing excellence and top-level marks in a scientific or technical subjects from A levels through to PhD level
• Superior understanding of the fundamentals of computer science and OOP
• Substantial coding experience in two or more of Python, C or C++
• Excellent communication skills
• Full rights to work in the UK without time limit.
