Experimental Physicist (27043)
This ambitious team are looking for an experimental physicist to join them in the development of complex measurement systems capable of working in extremely challenging environments. Your work will provide data critical to the continued success of this company as it works to hasten the worlds transition away from fossil fuels.
Requirements:
- Masters or PhD in Physics backed by a 1st or 2:1 at undergraduate level from a top university (Russel group or equivalent).
- Knowledge of plasma physics including diagnostic techniques, and shock physics.
- Extensive experience in an experimental physics laboratory where you will have developed skills in areas such as: Velocity interferometer systems, high speed imaging cameras, x-ray spectrometers, scintillation counters, opto-mechanical systems, and data acquisition systems.
- Good knowledge of numerical tools for data analysis including image processing and the use of statistical methods.
Further knowledge of pulsed power systems would be advantageous but is not required.
