Technical Project Manager (27079)
This Cambridge start-up seek an experienced Technical Project Manager to join their growing team. They develop innovative RF engineering modules for the semiconductor industry. This role would take ownership of project schedules and provide clear-cut communications of the project status for all stakeholders to mitigate risks, hit milestones and ultimately deliver the project.
As Technical Project Manager, you would need to build relationships with internal team members, partners, and suppliers to ensure project objectives are manageable and can be delivered successfully. This includes managing project performance (scope, schedule and budget), defining tasks and duration estimates, and reporting through metrics and documentation. You may need to work across time-zones, so good awareness of how to operate within a globally diverse team is essential.
Requirements:
- Demonstrable experience as a technical project manager within an engineering environment (ideally semiconductor industry) including knowledge of RF modules or Mobile comms.
- Experience with PM software tools and knowledge to implement agile development practices.
- Excellent communication skills including conveying highly technical details clearly and concisely to differing audiences.
- Experience working in a start-up environment would be beneficial – the work can be fast-paced and time sensitive. Strong time-management skills are required.
Ideally applicants will have a degree in electronics, but moreover will understand the terminology and how the industry operates. Within these parameters, projects will need to be defined and gain buy-in from stakeholders. In return, an excellent remuneration package is available including company share option scheme. The role is expected to be mostly onsite at their Cambridge offices (hybrid working may be possible with up to one day a week home-working).
